Twice a year our San Diego home is hit with a phenomenon called tradeshow weekend. 3 days of ASR (action sports retail) and up the street the Agenda Show (a more boutique, streetwear tradeshow). So people from all over the world come here from the skate, snow, surf, streetwear industries and go nuts. Pros, hoes, design nerds, rappers, millionaires, everywhere. The general public is left outside trying to get into either the tradeshows or the after parties. Luckily curiculum mag is not general public.
Join me through my drunk photographic journey.
We missed the first day of tradeshows, but made it to some of the afterparties (fri. night) There were a bunch. Lots of walking. Kevin and Paul ditched us and cruised to the Transworld party, we went to the DC Shoes x 10 Deep party, and the Willy's Workshop, UNIV, In4mation, 5&A Dime Party, cruised by the Vice party too.
Bobby and everyone's favorite DJ/ DC designer. Mark Cruz. Muggin.
So after a long night of drinking downtown, we head back down Sat. morning for ASR. Streets just packed with People from every brand, riders, shop kids from god knows where, kids skating everywhere trying to get noticed. What a fiasco.
4:00 is happy hour at the convention center. This is what the Volcom booth looks like around that time. My beer in one hand, camera in the other.
Once again a cool tradeshow weekend. I only made it down to one of the three ASR days, and didn't make it to the Agenda Show at all. Obviously its impossible to make it to all the parties in one night, but I think we did pretty well. Pour a llittle out for Steve and Jessica, who went home early because he was sick. {c}

Whew. After a long day of drinking and shooting random photos, we start the after partying, consisting of, drinking and shooting random photos.
Bondi. Delicious Aussie restaurant, and our usual HQ before going out in downtown.
Smashley (DC Shoes) and Mat (DC Shoes) apparently making fun of the handsome guy to the left (who hates being in photos by the way).
